About
CORE 4 Learning (C4L) is a community-rooted microschool and academic hub in Los Angeles reimagining what education looks like for Black and Brown students ages 4.5–16. We blend rigorous, individualized academics with hands-on, real-world learning—moving beyond traditional models that often underserve our communities.
More than a school, C4L is an ecosystem. We intentionally partner with Black and Brown-owned businesses across Los Angeles County to provide enrichment experiences while circulating resources back into the communities we serve.
Our work sits at the intersection of education, equity, and economic empowerment—preparing students not just to succeed in school, but to navigate and shape the world around them.

Connect
Students establish meaningful connections between their personal experiences and academic instruction. We are steadfastly committed to forging a sustainable network of services, gradually building partnerships with the families and communities we serve, with the collective aim of fostering long-lasting positive impact.
Organize
Our students acquire invaluable expertise in navigating and overseeing executive functioning skills. They adeptly handle the intricacies of time management, streamline their schedules, maintain meticulous organization of materials and resources, and employ effective study techniques to achieve mastery of essential skills and concepts.
Resilience
In our community, the principles of RESILIENCE and REPRESENTATION hold profound significance. Our students triumph over racial, economic, and social obstacles by persistently adapting, expanding, and rebounding from adversity.
Empower
Before academic learning begins, our primary emphasis lies in nurturing our students' confidence by embracing their strengths. Through this approach, we inspire our students to fearlessly confront the intricacies of the educational journey, enabling them to recognize and unleash their innate potential for personal growth.
